DEPOK - Tim Ahli Cagar Budaya TACB Kota Depok merekomendasikan Rumah Panggung Bojongsari menjadi objek cagar budaya. Saat ini hasil kajian terkait rekomendasi tersebut sudah diserahkan ke Wali Kota Depok, Mohammad TACB Kota Depok, Tri Wahyuning M Irsyam mengatakan, pihaknya masih menunggu tindak lanjut dari Wali Kota Depok, Mohammad Idris atas rekomendasi Rumah Panggung Bojongsari. "Kami sudah rekomendasikan Rumah Panggung Bojongsari untuk ditetapkan menjadi cagar budaya. Kami berharap bangunan yang direkomendasikan ini bisa ditetapkan sebagai cagar budaya," ujar Tri dalam siaran pers yang diterima Republika, Senin 8/3.Dia menambahkan, Rumah Panggung Bojongsari direkomendasikan menjadi cagar budaya dengan beberapa pertimbangan. Antara lain rumah tersebut mewakili masa gaya yang khas, tingkat keterancamannya tinggi, jenisnya sedikit atau langka, serta jumlahnya terbatas. "Pertimbangan tersebut memiliki arti khusus bagi sejarah, ilmu pengetahuan, pendidikan, dan budaya. Rumah panggung ini bisa sebagai sarana pendidikan ilmu lingkungan, khususnya arsitektur vernakular dan pendidikan lokal kehidupan sosial budaya masyarakat masa lalu di Kota Depok,” mengutarakan, untuk diketahui, rumah panggung tersebut sangat menarik karena terdapat lumbung atau embung sebagai tempat menyimpan padi dari hasil pertanian lainnya. "Dapur tersebut menggunakan tungku dan kayu bakar, serta terdapat ruang pangkeng untuk menyimpan bahan makanan," pungkasnya.
